Small Artists
Studio practice or habitation, a series of almost blind engagements with physical or psychological limits. Uninterested in making anything monumental I started arranging insubstantial, available materials, household recyclables, left over paint and began using the camera.
The images are fleeting, more like dreams or images that are necessary only for specific purposes in a therapeutic setting. Gestures without definite context can mean fragments coagulating and surprising truth emerging. Years previously I began with a clear objective - to make images that would enhance the lives of the unrepresented or to record thus far unrepresented human experiences. Most recently I work as if lost.
This publication is a record of moments of unexpected welcome sanity and sometimes contentment, and peace with things I cannot control.
